Ps. 32 -

1(A Psalm of David, Maschil.) Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

2Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

Transgression is an act that goes against a law, a rule or a code of conduct. An offense. Rebellion. Prov 17:11 in Hebrew it means revolt, rebellion, in Greek it's violation.

Transgression

/tranzˈɡreSHən/
Transgression is
the act of crossing boundaries, specifically violating laws, rules, or moral principles. Derived from the Latin transgredi ("to step across"), it signifies a breach of command, often resulting in guilt, social consequences, or, in religious contexts, separation from God. Examples include crimes, immorality, or breaking social norms.
  • Moral/Religious: Violating divine commands, sins, or ethical codes (e.g., Adam's fall, the ten commandments).
  • Legal: Infringement of laws, including felonies or minor summary offences.
  • Social/Relational: Breaching social norms or implicit relational rules.
  • Legal: Penalties, fines, or incarceration.
  • Spiritual: Seen as a "hard path" that creates a divide between humans and the divine, requiring repentance.
  • Social: Damaged reputation, broken trust, or ostracization.
  • Religion: In Abrahamic faiths, it is disobedience to God's law. In Wikipedia, it can refer to Haram in Islam.
  • Philosophy: Some philosophers viewed it as a way to challenge and move beyond existing, restrictive norms.
  • Etymology: Originated in the late 14th century from Old French and Latin, meaning "to step over" or "go beyond".
  • Biblical: The disobedience of Adam and Eve.
  • Behavioral: Cheating, stealing, or lying.
  • Geological: The Merriam-Webster defines a, separate, geological, transgression as the spreading of the sea over land.

Prov 28:2 -

Proverbs 28:2 “For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.”

May the will of the Lord be done - not this spiritual force that wants us to resist God's will and rule. It's self-will where you want to do it on your own without God's help.  When we get born again we are led by another spirit.  He gives us the unction to walk in the right path.

Two paths - wide worldly path and very narrow path. One is sin led and other is God led.
