In this episode we talk about the wrath of God is now being poured out upon the Earth. We discover it's actually targeting the elements; earth, sun, rivers, sea, etc.

COMMENTARY

Revelation 16 details the Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath, representing the final, complete judgments upon an unrepentant, wicked world at the end of the Tribulation. These catastrophic plagues culminate in the gathering of evil forces at Armageddon and the return of Jesus Christ. [1, 2, 3]

For in-depth, verse-by-verse analysis, you can explore the Enduring Word Commentary or the Precept Austin Commentary.

The chapter’s events unfold in three distinct stages:

1. The First Five Bowls: Plagues Upon the Earth

These judgments target the followers of the Antichrist, serving as literal and symbolic retributions for their sins.

  •

First Bowl: Painful, festering sores afflict those who took the mark of the beast.
  • Second Bowl: The sea turns to blood, killing all marine life.

  • Third Bowl: Fresh water rivers and springs turn to blood. This is viewed as a righteous judgment, as the wicked previously shed the blood of saints and prophets.

  • Fourth Bowl: The sun scorches humanity with intense heat.

  • Fifth Bowl: Darkness falls upon the kingdom of the Antichrist, causing immense agony.

The Human Response: Despite the severity of these plagues, humanity refuses to repent, instead cursing and blaspheming God.

2. The Sixth Bowl: The Gathering at Armageddon

  • Drying the Euphrates: The great Euphrates River is dried up to prepare a path for the "kings of the east".

  • Demonic Deception: Unclean spirits (described like frogs) emerge from the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet to deceive the leaders of the world.

  • The Call to Armageddon: They gather the armies of the world for the "battle of the great day of God Almighty" in the valley of Megiddo (Armageddon).

  • A Warning: In the midst of this spiritual darkness, Jesus issues a sudden warning to believers to stay spiritually awake and guard their faith.

3. The Seventh Bowl: "It Is Done"

  • The Finality: The seventh angel pours his bowl into the air, and a loud voice from the heavenly throne declares, "It is done".

  • Cosmic Convulsion: This brings unprecedented lightning, thunder, and the largest earthquake in human history, dividing Jerusalem into three parts and leveling global cities.

  • Global Alteration: Islands and mountains flee or disappear entirely, and massive hailstones (weighing roughly 100 pounds each) rain down on humanity.

  • Judgment of Babylon: God brings "Babylon the Great" (often associated with the global system of evil and political corruption) to account for her sins.

Throughout these terrifying events, the recurring theme of Revelation 16 is the uncompromising justice of God and the hardened, unrepentant heart of rebellious humanity

Sad considering the life in the ocean will die...
