Our Joy

God's will is HIS WORD. We need the fruit of the spirit to get through what is coming. Peace, joy, love, long-suffering, etc. We need to focus on this for such a time as this.

We need God's word to control our emotions.  Peace guards over us. We control the negative emotions with God's word.

Galatians 5:22 Context

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

There are various kinds of joy - Prov 15:31 - foolish joy, Matt 13:20 - Fleeting joy, etc. Acts 8:8 - Great Joy, 1 John 1:4 Full of joy, etc.

Causes of joy - victory - 1 Sam 18:6, Luke 2:10 Christ birth, Matt 28:8 - Christ resurrection.
