Pastor talked about the R's
-
Redeemed - it means like emancipated and spiritual deliverance from the bondage of sin.
-
Redemption - a loosening away from paying the price - it's the special intervention of God for mankind. It's the atoning work of Christ. Christ is man's redeemer. The redemption manifests His love for the son and Jesus' love of the father.
-
Righteousness - Righteousness in the Bible refers to being in a right relationship with God and others, characterized by moral integrity, justice, and conformity to God's holy standards, rather than mere rule-following. It implies acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly. While God is the source of all righteousness, human righteousness is attained through faith in Jesus Christ.
-
Repentance - Biblical repentance (Greek: metanoia) is a profound change of mind, heart, and direction, involving a sincere turning away from sin and toward God. It is not mere regret, but a decisive, God-given lifestyle shift—often accompanied by fruit of obedience—that is essential for salvation and walking with Christ.
-
Renunciation - Renunciation is the formal, voluntary rejection or abandonment of a right, title, claim, belief, or citizenship. It involves a spoken or written declaration to disown something previously held, such as renouncing a, inheritance, contract obligations, or nationality. Motivations include ideological shifts, tax planning, or legal defense.
-
Remission - Remission is a temporary or permanent reduction/disappearance of disease symptoms, particularly in cancer or chronic conditions, marked by diminished tumors or negative tests. It is not a cure, as disease can return. Remission can last for months, years, or life, often accompanied by emotional relief, but also anxiety about potential recurrence.
