Acts 22
The Vindication of God

Dr. June was explaining her time with the Lord this morning and writing in her journal.  Examining in her heart what is coming with the great persecution upon us, she was writing to God asking Him to defend her and back her up as she did Him all these years. She knows the persecution is upon her and now it's getting real.

  • If they arrest me, what will happen to Dennis?

  • What about my kids? What will they think?

  • What will the people in the church think about me if they publically humiliate me?

  • Will God defend my honor as I do His in this hour?

Then God led her to Acts 22. This is the story of Saul's conversion to Paul. Jesus let Saul know that when he was killing and persecuting Jesus' church - his bride - that he was really persecuting Jesus. Then when Saul realized what he had really done, then he was converted to Christianity as a Jew. He was chosen by God to tell the world what he saw and heard when he worked for the government believing what he was doing was right - he was defending God, defending the country, etc. God showed him that it was wrong. He needs to defend Jesus and tell the true church what they're really doing to the church as a whole. Paul now decides to obey Jesus and suffer the consequences.
