Mark 16:17 states that signs will accompany those who believe, including casting out demons and speaking in new tongues. This verse emphasizes the miraculous abilities granted to believers as a demonstration of their faith.

  • Pastor encourages the church today about desires. There is a proper way to guide them. Flesh vs. Spirit.

  • Speaking in tongues was such a miracle in that they all spoke in other languages! They were simple people not known for wealth. The people were all amazed and marvelled at those who spoke in tongues!  They were literally paralyzed and shocked when they saw the people speaking in tongues on the day of ACTS.  Wow!

  • When believers open up and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them will bring miracles. This should be our desire! This will give us that supernatural power. Speaking in tongues was the norm.

  • We need the desire to allow God to speak through our temples to give us strength and to walk in the supernatural.

  • Bible offers ways on what to desire and what not to desire. Bible guards against desires of the flesh and worldly possessions. 

 

Psalms 37:4

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
King James Version (KJV)

  • Ps 37 is about the wicked. God laughs at their plans. Delight in the Lord in spite of other people. We must trust in the Lord. Commit our way unto the Lord. Delight in the Lord. Rest in the Him, wait patiently, seek from anger, fret not to do evil, etc.

  • We must commit our way unto the Lord. Wait patiently to the Lord.

  • Pastor warns of evil desires such as money - the LOVE of money is the ROOT of all evil.  They that will be rich fall into temptation and fall into a snare.  It snares you and "pulls you in" and draw men into destruction and perdition.

  • Avoid desires - lust of the flesh, lust of life and pride. World passes away.

  • Pastor encourages everyone to get out and do something. Be active. Don't gripe and complain. Go help others. Love others. Focus on the poor. Don't just sit at home and be idle.

  • The glory of the latter house will be GREATER than the former house! Yes Lord! Let the fire of God hit your people and use us mightily Lord!!!

Philippians 4:7 states that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This verse emphasizes that God's peace is a divine assurance that protects believers from anxiety and fear.
