My name is Carrie, and I have been following and learning with Dr. June and the Bride, mostly as a warrior, since the end of 2020 when we moved to Tennessee from Arizona. I found you guys through Steve and Jana. When Dr. June asked for a time when an angel entered our lives, I was having a hard time; maybe I was overthinking things. The account I am about to share isn’t exactly as Dr. June had asked, but just remembering and retelling this to my husband left me feeling lightheaded and numb—the same feelings I felt so many years ago, as the Lord showed me just how MIGHTY He truly is.

Twenty-two years ago, when I was 31 years old, I was going through some of the toughest years of my life. Those years changed and shaped me and my relationships with my family forever, unfortunately. At 31, I had not spoken to my brother or his wife in a year and a half. My son had come forward with very serious abuse allegations from a relative, not on our side of the family, that basically destroyed and fractured every person and many relationships from within, which are still broken to this day. Most of these relationships have never healed. I felt very alone during that time—years, to be precise—because I was alone. My feelings of abandonment left me feeling hurt, angry, and completely withdrawn, not to mention I was also dealing with self-pity and shock from the allegations. My family didn’t want to be involved in this mess, blaming me somehow for all of it, saying if I had been a better mother maybe this could have been prevented, OR they were just in some form of denial and detachment. I didn’t have those luxuries; I had to go through every step with my child.

The Lord Jesus Christ has called upon me many times, past and present, to do things to help others. I had always been obedient, always rose to whatever He asked of me, even if I had to push past my fears and my natural introverted self. I always did what He commanded of me without hesitation. He could count on me to be His humble servant. Many times the Lord gave me dreams, messages, and warnings that I was to act upon, say, or do, as He commanded of me, and I always did. That was about to change.

I went to bed one evening and had a very disturbing, vivid dream. I dreamt that my sister-in-law, my brother’s wife, had been murdered. In the dream, there was only myself, my brother, his wife, my mother, and my sister—who is a police officer in real life and, of course, was in the dream. In the dream, I was shown my sister-in-law face down, floating in a very large drainage ditch full of water somewhere in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. She had been murdered, strangled to death. I stood there in the dream in shock, staring at her lifeless body. In the dream, I was told to pay close attention to her clothes. So, I looked closely, and she was wearing dark denim, baggy blue jeans, a dark denim blue jean shirt or jacket that matched perfectly, and there was something red around her neck; I thought it was a scarf.

When I woke, I was nauseous and overwhelmed. I knew exactly what type of dream that was. I knew exactly what the Lord was asking me to do: warn my sister-in-law of her imminent danger and do it quickly. I had not spoken to her or my brother for a year and a half. I was bitter towards them for not being there to support my child and myself, and I thought, how am I going to tell someone something like this out of the blue? She was not a believer and, frankly, I talked myself up to them thinking I was crazy, and I let all of this cloud my obedience. I told the Lord out loud that I wasn’t going to call her and tell her this, period, the end. So, that was that; I didn’t call her. The Lord let me think on that decision. He rose in my spirit again and called me to action, yet there I stood in complete disobedience and said quite loudly that NO, I WASN’T GOING TO TELL HER ANYTHING. I thought that would be the end of it, as I never spoke of that dream and tried to push it to the farthest point of my mind… it was only the beginning.

My son went to his grandparents to spend the night. That night, he had a dream. He dreamt his sweet aunt, whom he loved dearly, was murdered. He was 12 years old, dealing with huge life traumas, yet my disobedience was calling the Lord to show His Might. He woke up early at his grandparents’ house, called me hysterically crying, and all I heard was, "please come pick me up and please hurry." When I got him in the car, I wasn’t prepared for what he was about to tell me. Through his tears, he said that he had a very bad dream—a dream about his aunt. In my son's dream, there was himself, my brother (his uncle), his aunt (my brother’s wife), my mother (his grandmother), and my sister the cop (his aunt)… the exact same people as my dream, except he was in the role I was in. He saw his aunt face down in what he described as a creek, dead. Through his sobs, he said she had been murdered. I sat there completely stunned, numb, and in shock. I could only think to ask one question: "what was she wearing?" He told me blue jeans, a blue jean shirt the same dark color as the jeans, and something red was around her neck. I felt the blood leave my body. This was real, this was really happening, and I was trying to wrap my head around how huge of a mistake I had made. He was so upset; he said we must go home and call her. He said that she needed to hear this, needed to know this, because if anything happened to her, he would never forgive himself—that he would blame himself forever. The Lord Jesus Christ had showed His Might to me, had backed me into a corner… there was no way around this, I must call her and call her quickly.

I drove those back country roads in Kentucky with such precision and determination to get home fast before anything happened to her, being that so much time had passed. If anything was to happen to her, my son’s entire heart, soul, and mental state (in my mind) hung in the balance. I got home, took a deep breath, and called her out of the blue. She answered, I said hello, told her I wasn’t much for small talk, and got right to the point. It was tough telling someone estranged, who was not a believer in Jesus Christ, that they were in grave danger and that this was coming straight from the Lord. My sister-in-law worked for Hospice in downtown Louisville, so I kept telling myself and her, as I nervously talked, that this couldn’t be true because she wore scrubs. I was shown this murder happened in downtown Louisville, so it just couldn’t be true. Her silence came over the phone; it was deafening to me. She then said she wore dark denim jeans every Friday. My mouth fell open. I quickly asked her if she had a dark denim shirt that matched those jeans? She said yes, that she wore that shirt with those jeans every Friday. I said, "do you have a scarf—a red scarf—that you wear with that outfit?" She said the shirt had a red collar… again, the blood left my body. I felt dizzy and numb, and I thought I was going to faint. I told her quickly that she was in EMINENT DANGER. Someone had targeted her, someone had been watching; the devil was in the midst.

I asked her if there was anything that stood out where she felt anything scary or weird. She said yes, she had been parking in the parking garage and had the feeling of being watched and felt creeped out, noting that there was construction going on with workers everywhere, but no one stuck out in her mind. I told her to change everything: where she parked, change shifts, locations, change everything. She did. I even drove that night and brought her some police pepper spray to have. She is alive and well today, and we have mended our relationship—one of the few in our family that has healed.

I wasn’t obedient to the Lord, and He showed me, "THY WILL BE DONE." It didn’t matter to Jesus if my sister-in-law wasn’t a believer; He still believed and believes in her.

 God Saved my Sister-In-Law

Part 1: Fractured Years

Twenty-two years ago, when I was 31 years old, I was going through some of the toughest years of my life. I had not spoken to my brother or his wife in a year and a half. My son had come forward with very serious abuse allegations from a relative that fractured many family relationships. I felt very alone because I was alone. My family blamed me, saying if I had been a better mother maybe this could have been prevented, or they were just in detachment. I didn't have those luxuries; I had to go through every step with my child.

Part 2: The Warning Dream

The Lord Jesus Christ has called upon me many times to do things to help others, and I had always been an obedient, humble servant. But that was about to change. I went to bed one evening and had a very disturbing, vivid dream. I dreamt that my sister-in-law had been strangled and murdered. In the dream, I saw her face down in a large drainage ditch in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. I was told to pay close attention to her clothes: she wore dark denim baggy jeans, a matching denim shirt, and something red around her neck that I thought was a scarf.

Part 3: A Mother's Fear

When I woke, I was nauseous. I knew the Lord was asking me to warn her, but because we were estranged and she wasn't a believer, I let bitterness cloud my obedience. I loudly told the Lord I wasn't going to call her. But the Lord was about to show His might. The next morning, my 12-year-old son called me hysterically crying from his grandparents' house. He had just dreamt the exact same dream. He saw his aunt face down, dead in a creek, wearing blue jeans, a matching blue jean shirt, and something red around her neck. The blood left my body. My disobedience was calling the Lord to back me into a corner.

Part 4: Driving the Back Roads

I drove those back country roads in Kentucky with such precision and determination to get home fast. If anything happened to her, my son's entire heart, soul, and mental state hung in the balance. I got home, took a deep breath, and called my estranged sister-in-law out of the blue. It was tough telling someone who didn't believe in Jesus that they were in grave danger coming straight from the Lord.

Part 5: The Friday Uniform

Because she worked for Hospice in downtown Louisville, I nervously kept telling myself this couldn't be true because she wore scrubs. But a deafening silence came over the phone. She whispered that she actually wore dark denim jeans and a matching denim shirt every single Friday. I asked if she had a red scarf, and she replied that the denim shirt had a red collar. Again, the blood left my body and I felt like I was going to faint. I told her quickly that she was in imminent danger—that someone was watching her.

Part 6: Transformed and Protected

I asked her if she had felt anything weird. She admitted that she had been parking in a parking garage and felt creeped out like she was being watched, noting there was construction going on with workers everywhere. I told her to change everything—her parking, her shifts, her locations. She did, and I even drove out that night to bring her pepper spray. She is alive and well today, and it healed our relationship. Even when I wasn't obedient, the Lord showed me "Thy will be done." It didn't matter that she wasn't a believer; Jesus still believed in her.
