Jennifer’s Story - “The Interceded Brake”

I am in an older car no fancy breaking system. I start to go through the light just turned green and a car is speeding through their red light to my right. I went to hit the brake and knew it was a bit too late -but as my foot went to press the pad somehow I could feel it had moved on its own and was pressed down already when my foot hit it and I was stopped just inches in time and that car zoomed by me! I think it was an angel and I couldn't see it. 

Just sharing that story I am praising Him all over again! It was me and my son he was little then.

The Interceded Brake

I was in an older car with no fancy braking system. I started to go through the intersection just as the light turned green, when suddenly, a car came speeding through their red light to my right. I went to hit the brake and knew it was a bit too late—but as my foot went to press the pad, somehow I could feel it had moved on its own. It was pressed down already when my foot hit it!

I was stopped just inches in time, and that car zoomed right by me! I think it was an angel and I couldn't see it. Just sharing that story, I am praising Him all over again! It was just me and my son in the car; he was little then.

Step-by-Step Breakdown

• Part 1: The Older Vehicle — I was driving an older model car that lacked any modern, advanced automatic braking or collision-avoidance technology. My young son was riding along with me.

• Part 2: The Red-Light Runner — As the traffic light turned green, I proceeded forward into the intersection. Suddenly, a speeding car blew right through their red light from the right side.

• Part 3: Too Late for Human Reflexes — Recognizing the imminent crash, I went to slam on the brakes, fully aware that my human reaction time was a split-second too slow to prevent the impact.

• Part 4: The Unseen Depressed Pedal — Before my foot could even make contact with the surface of the brake pedal, I felt the physical pad move entirely on its own. It was already pressed fully down to the floorboard.

• Part 5: Stopped by Inches — The car came to a sudden halt mere inches away from the speeding vehicle as it zoomed past us, completely avoiding a devastating collision.

• Part 6: An Angelic Shield — There was no mechanical explanation for the vehicle stopping on its own. I know in my heart an unseen angel interceded to press that pedal down, saving my son and me.
